FSP's role in the re-development of West Bromwich

August 2013

FSP were awarded the contract of preparing the floor at the new Primark at West Bromwich, which is part of the New Square Leisure Scheme just minutes from the town centre.

FSP had the task of preparing the concrete for the new Primark and the team completed this over seven days. They began by shotblasting the 2,800sqm surface area using our industry recognised Blastrac 2-20DT to ensure a cleaned, keyed concrete surface was ready for the next stage of development. Our team then used a diamond grinder to ensure the surface edges were of the same standard and ready for a new floor

Councillor Darren Cooper, the Leader of Sandwell Council said the new centre is just what West Bromwich needs; "There is no doubt New Square was an ambitious scheme and we are delighted we have been able to develop what is, without any doubt, one of the most fantastic retail destinations opening this year in the UK. The architecture and site layout are particularly attractive and visitors will feel they are shopping somewhere special. "
